Hand made micaceous round form with nails, item number 304 is a hand made hand coiled round closed form using micaceous or mica clay, with small flecks of mica on the surface of the red golden brown clay body. This item is hand burnished and hand painted free hand using black and blue underglazes. Nails are inserted into the walls of the form for a mixed media approach. The nails represent the facets of industrialism and technology while the clay represents the natural world or mother earth.
